My first attempt at writing

So, I did a thing. After a lot of encouragement from several author friends and my sister, Katie, I have decided to try to get some of these stories out of my head and onto paper, or Microsoft Word. 😂

A friend recommended Save the Cat Writes a Novel, so I’m reading this while starting my first story.

I’ve had this story in my head for a few decades now. It is loosely based on a local true crime that did not turn out the way anyone had hoped. I’ve always wanted to rewrite the narrative and have justice for the family.

I’ve had some teachers over the years encourage my writing, but one that didn’t, and I’ve let that hold me back. That ends now.

I started writing last night and got through my first two chapters. Fingers crossed that the rest flow as easily as those did.
